Busy researchers will welcome the new 96-Well PTFE Sealing Film from J.G. Finneran Associates. The adhesive film features a patented design to seal samples in microplates during high throughput bioanalytical studies without exposing samples to the film’s sealing adhesive. Samples are protected against cross contamination or evaporation.
The new Finneran 96-Well Pattern PTFE Sealing Film is coated with a solvent-free adhesive that is precisely applied in a pattern to seal around each of the 96 wells, leaving the area over the sample well free of adhesive. The sealing design prevents adhesive from fouling the pipette tip or sampling probe, ultimately minimizing the amount of adhesive that comes in contact with the sample. The adhesive is formulated to adhere to polypropylene, polystyrene and polycarbonate microplates.  The inert PTFE film material is compatible with aqueous solutions and organic solvents and resistant to most laboratory chemicals, including DMSO, and has a functional temperature range of -80ºC to +120ºC. Available in 2 mil and 5 mil thickness, the film is easily pierced by single or multichannel pipettors and robotic probes.

J.G. Capitalizing on the strength and thermal conductivity of aluminum, this patented system is ideal for use with volatile solvents and testing that requires uniform heating and cooling of samples. Researchers performing high throughput solubility testing, salt screening and freeze-drying will find this system preferable to plastic micro plates.
Consisting of an aluminum plate and cover, the 96-Well Aluminum Micro Plate System is designed to secure 0.5mL, 1.0mL, 1.5mL and 2.0mL conical and flat bottom glass vials in a standard a 96-well format. The system facilitates thorough immersion of sample vials in laboratory baths assuring uniform transfer of heat or cold. Researchers can choose from a solid or vented base plate. The reusable base plates and covers are machined from solvent resistant anodized aluminum, which prevents fingerprint smudges and discoloration, and have a stamped alphanumeric ID grid for easy sample identification. The aluminum cover can be screwed into place, preventing vial pullout. A variety of closure systems, including molded liners and sealing films are available, as well as a convenient vial loader that enables simultaneous loading of 96 vials quickly and easily. The J.G. Here is a unique product for researchers tasked with managing a lot of chromatography sample vials in their laboratories: the new 300µL Interlocked R.A.M. (Robotic Arm Machine) Vial with 9mm Thread Finish, by J.G. Finneran Associates. Composed of a clear or amber Type I borosilicate glass, the vial and insert are fused together keeping the insert permanently in place. This design enables accurate automated injection, and eliminates contamination risk around the seam or space between the neck of the vial and the insert. The Interlocked R.A.M. Vial arrives ready to use saving valuable time in the laboratory.

The Interlocked R.A.M. Vial is specifically designed to work in robotic arm autosamplers such as those available from Agilent Technologies and others. The 12mm x 32mm outer dimensions is designed for robotic arms to easily grasp. Chromatography samples are contained in a clear Type I borosilicate glass 300µL conical tip insert. The Interlocked R.A.M. Vial includes a marking spot, which can be written on with a #2 pencil. The vial is also available with a 9mm Screw Thread Closure option.

96-Well Multi-Tier Microtiter Plate System (Patented)

An improvement on existing 96-Well systems, the Multi-Tier Plate is a modular, reusable system featuring a base plate capable of securing 0.5,1.0,1.5, or 2.0 mL conical glass, flat bottom and polypropylene vials.

The vented design of the base plate assures uniform heating and cooling when immersed in a water bath. The cover locks the liner in place and prevents vial pullout. The prescored PTFE/Silicone/PTFE liner permits easy needle penetration, while the Molded PTFE/Silicone liner locks into each of the 96 vials and reseals after multiple injections thus reducing the chance of solvent evaporation and cross contamination.
